Module 4 : Problem Solving – the 15 Minute City

Investigating the practicalities of the 15 minute city concept in your local area

This module will draw on the content of Modules 1, 2 and 3 of the D3 Teacher training course.

The problems to be solved will also relate to those identified during the previous modules.

This can be used as a stand-alone module, but is best used having completed the previous 3 modules. You should use the skills that you developed in the previous modules to help create the suggested outcomes.

Activity: Review the aims of this Module

The purpose of the module is to help teachers guide students through the need to change our cities away from our current way of living, and adapt to the changing needs of communities post COVID-19.

The technologies we use in our daily lives generate data that can help these changes to occur.

The Module explores the practicalities of adopting the 15 minute city concept of Carlos Moreno, which is being embraced by Anne Hidalgo, the Mayor of Paris, and provides a chance to press the reset button for our communities.
