The European AI Act
The European Union (EU) has passed an AI Act.
This is the first major legislative attempt to regulate AI. It focuses on a risk-based classification of AI systems, banning certain high-risk applications like social scoring. The Act promotes transparency and accountability for AI providers.

UNESCO has established AI Ethics recommendations as guidelines for fostering inclusive and ethical AI practices.
They recently published relevant guides to AI and competency frameworks for teachers and students.
